From the Etruscans to Antinori

The Etruscans were among the first to make wine in Italy, right here in Tuscia. Every day of the journey weaves the same three threads: what you see in the morning, what you drink at lunch, what you cook at night.

Art & history

Rome with a private guide, Florence overnight, Civita di Bagnoregio on its cliff, wine cellars carved into tufa stone.

Wine

Lunch at Antinori nel Chianti Classico in Bargino, a day with the Cotarella family, tastings chosen to match what you cook.

The Italian kitchen

Hands-on classes with a working chef: fresh pasta, the market, a Tuscan menu, and a gala dinner to close.

Colosseum, RomeCivita di BagnoregioFlorence at night with the Duomo

You know the name from Napa Valley. Come and see where it began.

Twenty-six generations of Tuscan winemaking, in a cellar built into the Chianti hillside. Then Florence by night, and back to the farm to cook the dishes that belong with those wines.

Never rushed

Five days out, four slow days at the farm. Cook in the morning, swim in the afternoon, eat together every evening.
